Rev. Dr. Deborah Rundlett joins me on this episode. Here is my disclaimer: Dr. Rundlett was an instructor at Ashland Theological Seminary during my doctoral work.

Our discussion is less about the process and more about how churches can serve their communities. This runs parallel to the question, "If your church disappeared, would anyone in your community miss it?"

Dr. Rundlett is actively serving and working with a small and elderly congregation to help them recapture their foundational reason for being. Their primary calling is to serve, and that pushes back on our nickels and noses method of assessing viability. They recruit partners to help them serve the community.

Plan on having your imagination stirred.
