I'm sharing a poem my Spiritual Director, Kathy, shared with me years ago.
This is about learning to trust. Admit it, there are days we do this very well and days we don't.
In keeping with the recent theme of slowing down, sometimes we outpaced ourselves because our trust is lagging. If I don't do X, Y, and Z, then everything is going to fall apart. Sometimes X, Y, and Z aren't really the most important things to manage. Or, we substitute X, Y, and Z for tasks that will slow us down and help us hear God better. And maybe, just maybe, slowing down will help us understand better which items on our to-do list really need our attention... and which ones don't.
