Technical difficulties

  • Joe's Mac died after recording the episode with Adam Curry, causing delays
    • Motherboard fried, fortunately drives should be okay
  • Fully loaded Mac is big bucks!

Klingon studio

  • Joe's new Austin studio looks like some kind of sci-fi abortion
  • Red walls with metallic panels on them make it look like some kind of Klingon studio out of Star Trek fanfic
  • For all the supposed bells and whistles, audio isn't the best.
    • Both Adam and Joe kept fading in and out through Episode #1533
    • Loudness was like -21 dB (LUFS) on the episode
      • Mike Tyson episode was more like -14 dB (LUFS) for the loudest parts
      • We target -14 dB LUFS for our own show

Adam Curry appearance

  • There was some social media chatter that the episode might be censored or skipped, due to the delays in getting it out
