I spoke with Aaron Shantz on Jan 30, 2020 and he shared with us some life stories and the ups and downs that come with the choices that we make. Aaron's many life experiences have helped him live a life as a homesteader for the last 10 years and he and his family are now in the second year of farming. Aaron explains how his love of nature and his connection with Jesus Christ are for him his grounding and guiding force of intuition. He says for him this living lens is how he has made it through some of the difficulties that life has presented him over the years including living under the poverty line for a period of time. His open and honest discussion is inspiring and I'm so grateful he agreed to do this podcast with me.
Bio
Aaron his wife Shelley boys Griffen and Clem have worked an abandoned property over the last 9 years into a working farm by learning homesteading skills such as food preservation, foraging, animal husbandry, alternative farming and sustainable woodlot management. Their adventures have turned them into advocates of food security/sovereignty which means locally and sustainably providing quality food to people at an affordable price.
