I spoke with April Love on March 15, 2022. We had a lot to talk about on how she works with horses and people to get them out of pain and into a more aligned body and life. Her love of horses and her passion for learning how to help them feel better shines through and she even shares some stories on how her work has helped and how she has worked hard to bring it to the world.

Bio
Early on in her horse riding, care, and training career, April noticed that many people were just
treating the symptoms that the horses were experiencing, and not solving the root of their
issues. For instance, a spasm in the horse’s hind end will cause their front end to have to work
harder, and this overcompensation causes a rippling effect throughout the body, which leads to a myriad of physical and behavioral issues. Most of all, she noticed that many horses labeled “problem horses” were really just in some kind of pain or discomfort, and in each of their hearts, they really just wanted a partner who was willing to listen.
After spending tens of thousands of dollars taking every horse care course she could find, April Love took her accumulated knowledge and blended it with her own unique insight in order to synthesize the Equine Musculoskeletal Unwinding, CranioSacral Unwinding & Advanced Applied Kinesiology, and Equine Cranial Decompression methodologies.

These methods all offer a systematic approach to healing the horse’s body that blends concepts of massage, reiki, bio-energy, and intuitive listening. She begins in conversation with the horse, asks them what they need, and compassionately waits for the answer. Afterward, she applies whatever techniques are most fitting at that time. The goal is to assist the horse’s body in returning to a balanced and aligned state so that it can heal itself and function optimally, while also providing mental and emotional support.
